PeaceHealth plans to lay off 1% of its workforce of 16,000 caregivers, but the union representing some of the affected workers is not taking the news lightly.

Right before bargaining between the Oregon Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals and the Vancouver-based health system resumed on Monday, union members assembled to create a “walk of shame” protest.
