Oregon’s attorney general led the case. Now Wyden wants $175B in Trump tariffs refunded

An Oregon-led case at the Supreme Court struck down Trump’s tariffs. U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden has followed with a bill requiring full refunds within 180 days.

OREGON, USA — U.S. Senate Democrats introduced legislation Monday that would require the federal government to refund an estimated $175 billion in tariffs collected under President Donald Trump’s emergency trade powers, days after an Oregon-led case at the Supreme Court struck the tariffs down as unconstitutional.
