A majority of union members voted in September to authorize a strike, alleging poor working conditions and lack of competitive pay from Kaiser.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Unionized health care workers at Oregon and southwest Washington Kaiser Permanente facilities said that they will strike at all regional facilities, starting Oct. 14, unless a deal is reached.
The Oregon Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals said that the strike will last no more than five days; the strike will not go forward if a tentative agreement is reached with Kaiser.
