PORTLAND, Ore. — A number of family-owned Oregon farms are on the defensive after state officials proposed changes to permitting policies for farm stands and agritourism — the kinds of farms which families flock to on weekends and throughout the holidays.
But state officials on Wednesday suggested that there’s been a misunderstanding about the policies that are on the table.
