New operator Harbor Industrial has taken over commercial operations at Portland’s Terminal 6, aiming to restore shipping routes and cargo volumes to Oregon.
PORTLAND, Ore. — After years of uncertainty, Oregon’s only international container terminal has a new operator and a renewed push to rebuild business at the Port of Portland. Harbor Industrial officially took over commercial operations at Terminal 6 on Jan. 1, launching what is now called the Oregon Container Terminal and shifting responsibility for attracting cargo and carriers away from the Port of Portland.
