PORTLAND, Ore. — In a year in which four powerhouse Oregon breweries made the PBJ/KGW Beer Showdown‘s final four, Fort George stands alone.
The Astoria brewery surged past Hood River-based pFriem late last week to capture a 51% to 48% decision (the figures reflect results after votes from duplicate URLs were discounted). A little more than 700 votes were counted in the final tally.
Around 3,000 votes were cast during the 2024 Oregon Beer Showdown. Fort George is the state’s seventh-largest brewer while pFriem is the fifth largest.
