Celebrated Portland chef Justin Woodward, who helmed the kitchen at fine-dining restaurant Castagna, died on Oct. 2 in San Diego. He was 43.
Woodward was born in Boston and raised in Southern California, according to his online obituary. He studied culinary arts at the Art Institute of San Diego and worked as a chef in restaurants in Portland, New York and Europe.
