‘No good reason’: Washington Sen. Murray, business leaders slam Trump tariffs

SEATTLE, Wash. — President Donald Trump signed a new executive order Friday imposing tariffs ranging from 10% to 50%, just ahead of a self-imposed deadline. The sweeping measure includes trade agreements with major partners, such as Japan, South Korea and the European Union, and is set to take effect next Thursday.

But not everyone is on board. U.S. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., is among those continuing to speak out, calling the tariffs harmful to American families and businesses.
