Nike officially abandons efforts to reopen its Northeast Portland Community Store

The store has been closed since last year due to theft problems. At one point, Nike requested off-duty police officers provide security, but the mayor said no.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Nike has abandoned its efforts to reopen its long-shuttered community store in Northeast Portland and now plans to make the store’s closure permanent.
