More than 1 million countertop ovens recalled due to burn risk

Nearly 100 customers reported being burned after the doors of their Oster French Door Countertop Ovens unexpectedly closed.

SAN FRANCISCO — Sunbeam Products recalled roughly 1.3 million countertop ovens in the United States and Canada on Thursday, citing a defect where the doors close while not in use and pose a burn hazard.

Nearly 100 customers reported being burned after the doors of their Oster French Door Countertop Ovens unexpectedly closed. Two of the reports included second-degree burns from the product, according to the recall. 

Models TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF and TSSTTVFDDAF sold between August 2015 and July 2025 are impacted, according to the U.S.
