Market of Choice won’t buy Food Front co-op

After two years of speculation and meetings, an Oregon grocer said it won’t go through with the purchase of a well-trafficked Northwest site.

Market of Choice leaders said in an email Wednesday they won’t move forward with the purchase of Food Front Cooperative Grocery, at 2375 N.W. Thurman St. The deal had been anticipated after Food Front members supported it in a vote earlier this summer.
