Largest professional theater company in Portland launches emergency fundraising campaign to avoid closure

The company said it must raise a total of $9 million by June 2026 to avoid a permanent shutdown, and at least $2.5 million of that before the end of August 2025.

PORTLAND, Ore. — This week, Portland Center Stage (PCS) announced that the theater company is at risk of closing for good if it’s unable to meet a total fundraising goal of $9 million dollars within the next year.
