JCPenney sells 119 stores for nearly $1 billion. Were any of them in Oregon?

One JCPenney store in Oregon is set to be sold as part of a nearly $1 billion deal with a private equity firm.

PORTLAND, Ore. — JCPenney will sell 119 stores, including one in Oregon, five years after declaring bankruptcy as part of a $947 million deal with a Boston private equity firm.

The all-cash deal to an affiliate of Onyx Partners, Ltd. was announced last Friday and is expected to close Sept. 8, USA Today reported.
