Happy Valley restaurant delivers hundreds of boxes of food donations to SNAP recipients : ‘We’re all in this together’

Nan’s Taqueria has served more than 2,500 people in the past 10 days through food donations.

HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. — With SNAP benefits uncertainty persisting, volunteers for Nan’s Taqueria were out in full force Sunday packing boxes for those who are food insecure this month.

“We started a week ago, we did 25 boxes, then two days later we did 50, then two days later we did 100 and today we are doing approximately 140,” volunteer organizer Leigha May said.
