Owens-Brockway plans to continue to operate a warehouse in Portland, but is shutting down the production facility.
PORTLAND, Ore. — An Ohio-based glass bottle manufacturer is closing its production facility in Northeast Portland. Approximately 90 workers will be laid off as a result of it, according to a WARN notice filed Wednesday.
Owens-Brockway Glass Container Inc., founded in 1903, operates 69 plants in 19 countries, including a glass bottle manufacturing facility at 9710 Northeast Glass Plant Road in Portland. According to the notice, the company plans to continue to operate a warehouse at the address, but is shutting down the production facility.
