Three Indonesian garment workers are visiting Oregon this week to demand higher wages and better human rights from Nike.
BEAVERTON, Ore. — Nike garment workers from Indonesia traveled to Oregon this week to try to deliver a message to the company’s top executives. They’re demanding higher wages and improved human rights protections.
Three workers and a small group of allies rallied outside the sportswear company’s headquarters in Beaverton Wednesday morning.
“We want them to know there are the workers who have worked for them (for) years and years, and we want them to pay their wages,” said Abiramy Sivalogananthan, a representative of the group
