PORTLAND, Oregon — Dr. Jane Goodall, the famed chimpanzee researcher and conservationist, has died at 91.
Goodall, best known for her groundbreaking studies of wild chimpanzees in Tanzania, died of natural causes in California, the Jane Goodall Institute announced Wednesday. Her decades-long research continues to shape the scientific understanding of primates and conservation.
