Downtown Portland’s historic Gus J Solomon Courthouse to be sold

The Trump administration announced Thursday that it plans to sell off the federally-owned building, which housed the U.S. District Court for Oregon until 1997.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The historic Gus J. Solomon federal Courthouse in downtown Portland will be sold off, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced Thursday. The 7-story building at 620 Southwest Main Street has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979, and a preservation covenant will be included with the deed in any sale.
