The manager at Contract Furnishings Mart said one of his employees uses a wheelchair and has to find another way around to get into work.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Every year, store manager Patrick Vonpegert pays the city of Portland over $2,000 for six employee parking permits so his staff can park outside of Contract Furnishings Mart at Southeast 9th Avenue and Ash Street. The cabinet store has been there since the 1980s.
The cost of those permits just went up. The Portland Bureau of Transportation is now asking $2,370 for the six permits. A PBOT spokesperson said the increased fees will help fund litter pickup and
