PORTLAND, Ore. — U.S. House Republican propelled President Donald Trump’s $4.5 trillion tax breaks and spending bill forward to final congressional passage Thursday. Immediately after, many of Oregon lawmakers decried its passage, with one calling it a “big, ugly betrayal.”
The tight roll call, 218-214, included two Republicans joining the Democrats, who all opposed the bill.
