‘Big Pink’ owner closes on additional downtown Portland building for $10 million

Jeff Swickard said the Five Oak building is intended to complement Big Pink and help downtown Portland thrive once more.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Five Oak building in downtown Portland along Southwest 4th Avenue has been purchased by Jeff Swickard, president of Swickard Group and a leader in the automotive industry.

Swickard also recently acquired Portland’s iconic “Big Pink” building.

This latest building acquisition brings his total investment in downtown Portland to $125 million over the last year. 

The Five Oak building is nearly 300,000 thousand square feet, and currently houses the Multnomah County Department of Human Services, the U.S. Postal Service, and
