Barclay Hancock is set to be the new interim president and CEO at Central 1 after current president and CEO Sheila Vokey retires on Sept. 4.
Central 1 continues to seek a permanent president and CEO.
The organization’s mandate is to be the central financial organization that provides essential payment processing, clearing, settlement and treasury services to credit unions and other financial institutions across Canada.
Through that work, Central 1 had about $9.2 billion in assets as of the end of March.
Hancock’s appointment ensures leadership continuity and continued execution of Central 1’s strategic priorities, the organization said in a press release.
