Assembly Brewing started strong out of the gates, providing top-notch Detroit-style pizza and a solid selection of IPAs and pale ales from its Southeast Foster Road locale upon opening in 2019.
While locals flocked to the spot, the timing was, of course, awful. As the pandemic struck, Southeast Portlanders faithfully continued to support owner George Johnson’s pizza and beer, ordering items for parking lot pick-ups until the stylishly bedecked restaurant reopened
