The discount grocery chain said it will open its first stores in Colorado and Maine as part of its expansion plans.
BATAVIA, Ill. — Low-cost grocery store chain Aldi said on Monday it plans to open 180 new locations this year as part of a $9 billion expansion, including its first locations in Colorado and Maine.
The Illinois-based company said in a news release that it plans to operate nearly 2,800 stores nationwide by the end of 2026, with a goal of 3,200 stores by the end of 2028.
The company also intends to open three new distribution centers in the next three years in
