Alaska Airlines pauses flights to Hawaii amid tsunami warning

Alaska Airlines is pausing flights heading to all Hawaiian islands, the company announced Tuesday night.

SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines is pausing all flights headed to Hawaii amid a tsunami warning on Tuesday night. This pause includes flights for both Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

“We are monitoring a tsunami warning for the Hawaiian Islands and portions of the state of Alaska and assessing our flight operations,” the company said. “We are holding flight departures to the Islands on Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines.”
