It was a wild day along the Oregon Coast Saturday, where two very different rescue situations unfolded just miles apart, drawing major emergency response and plenty of attention from onlookers.
From a helicopter hoist near Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint to a fire vehicle partially swallowed by the surf in Cannon Beach, the day served as a reminder of just how unpredictable the coast can be.
