It’s been over a month since baristas started striking. Now more are joining and they brought a cut out of the CEO with devil horns to Starbucks headquarters.
SEATTLE — On the 36th day of their strike, Starbucks workers gathered outside company headquarters Thursday with a cardboard cutout of Chief Executive Brian Niccol sporting devil horns, a crude but pointed symbol of their grievances.
The protest underscored how far the labor dispute has escalated since November, when 65 stores in 40 cities went dark. Now, more than 180 stores across the country have joined the walkout — the longest strike in Starbucks history.
