United joins other airlines that have recently hiked the cost of checked bags due to higher fuel prices.
WASHINGTON — United Airlines on Thursday announced an increase in checked bag fees — the latest airline to do so as fuel prices soar amid the Iran war.
For tickets purchased on United flights on or after Friday, April 3, the fee will go up by $10 for the first and second checked bag and by $50 for the third checked bag in most markets, the airline said.
