The Environmental Protection Agency has announced it will allow nationwide summer sales of higher-ethanol gasoline blends in a move aimed at boosting fuel supply and easing costs ahead of peak driving season.
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin issued a temporary emergency fuel waiver allowing the sale of E15, which is gasoline blended with 15% ethanol, and removing certain federal restrictions on E10 fuel, gasoline blended with 10% ethanol. The action is set to take effect May 1.
