Oregon sues Trump administration over latest wave of tariffs

Another 23 states have joined the lawsuit, arguing that President Donald Trump overstepped his authority by issuing tariffs in late February.

PORTLAND, Oregon — Oregon is joining more than 23 other states in suing the Trump administration over its latest round of tariffs, a move that comes weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a previous attempt by the administration to impose tariffs using emergency powers.

Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield made the announcement Thursday, challenging the administration’s use of a little-used trade law to implement the new tariffs.
