PORTLAND, Ore. — Former Portland Trail Blazers center Chris Dudley is making another bid for Oregon governor, saying the state is in urgent need of change.
The 2010 Republican nominee, who narrowly lost to former Gov. John Kitzhaber, is now seeking the GOP nomination to challenge Democratic Gov. Tina Kotek in November. It was the closest a Republican came to winning the governor’s seat since 1982.
