The closure of the Olympic Pipeline and U.S.-Iran tensions have contributed to the double-digit increases at the pump.
OREGON, USA — A number of factors, including a temporary closure of the Olympic Pipeline, sent gas prices across Oregon and Washington state skyrocketing. In Oregon, the average price jumped 22 cents, or $3.91 a gallon — the biggest week-over-week jump for a state in the nation.
According to AAA, the national average for regular fuel increased by 3 cents, or $2.95 a gallon. In Washington state, it’s $4.35.
