Experts believe an uptick in sports betting could change the focus of the Winter Olympics for many viewers.
PORTLAND, Ore. — While Olympians are vying for medals, sports betting is in full force too. Oregon legalized sports betting in 2019, and since then it’s skyrocketed in popularity. Now some experts believe betting will change how many people watch the Olympics.
“If anything’s been proven, it’s cricket, table tennis, darts, if you can bet on it, people are interested in it,” said John Canzano, a sports commentator.
