Small businesses in downtown Vancouver are glad construction is paused for the holiday season, up until New Year’s Day, after slumped sales this year.
VANCOUVER, Wash — On “Small Business Saturday” in downtown Vancouver, local shop owners KGW spoke with say they hope the recent pause in construction on Main Street helps boost holiday shopping at their stores.
“The holiday season can either make or break your year,” Wild Fern Boutique owner Deanna Gaines said.
The city paused construction from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Day so the area can be fully open for people to explore.
