Rogue shuttered its brewing facility in Newport, and several brew pubs around the state as property owners noted the company’s financial struggles.
NEWPORT, Ore. — On what should have been a busy Friday night, locked security gates at the Rogue Portland Public House in Southeast Portland signaled the end of an era in Oregon’s brewing legacy. Multiple sources told KGW that Rogue Ales & Spirits had abruptly shuttered all operations on Friday.
“It’s sad. I mean, the brewery’s been around forever,” said Rogue regular, Anna Robbins. “As an Oregonian, it’s kind of an institution.”
