As landmark downtown Portland restaurant faces closure, owners still compelled to help those losing SNAP benefits

After being in business nearly 120 years, the owners of Dan & Louis Oyster Bar say business has slumped, but they feel an obligation to help the community.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A more-than-century-old Portland restaurant is at risk of closing.

Dan & Louis Oyster Bar has been part of the fabric of downtown Portland since 1907, but owners Keoni and Michelle Wachsmuth told KGW the last five years have been incredibly tough.
