SALEM, Oregon — Next year, the most that a landlord can raise rent on an Oregon resident’s housing is 9.5%, thanks to a cap set by the state — at least in most cases.
It’s the lowest increase since the law capping rent increases passed in 2019, but based on what type of housing you rent, there are some changes to the law this year.
For most buildings more than 15 years old, the cap is 9.5%.
