Downtown Portland foot traffic continues to rebound, but remains far below pre-pandemic

Foot traffic downtown is up 5.6% from last year and three times where it was in 2021. It’s still about half of 2019, according to Downtown Portland Clean & Safe.

PORTLAND, Ore. — With summer at an end, the businesses of Portland’s downtown core have published the latest statistics on the number of visitors they saw this year — finding 2025 to have been the best summer for downtown since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
