ODOT: ‘Graffiti falls further down’ priority list with agency’s funding in flux

With funding cuts at ODOT, a Portland graffiti removal subcontractor said that he’s had to lay off most of his employees and reduce the number of freeways they hit.

PORTLAND, Ore. — With the Oregon Department of Transportation experiencing funding fallout ahead of next month’s special legislative session, layoffs for hundreds of the agency’s employees may still be looming, and homeless camp removals have been greatly reduced. 

The funding crunch is also affecting some small businesses in the region: the subcontractors of ODOT.
