PORTLAND, Ore. — Just weeks after announcing thousands of layoffs in Oregon, Intel is now under political fire — this time from President Donald Trump.
In a post Thursday morning on Truth Social, Trump called for Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan to resign, citing the executive’s business connections to Chinese companies.
“Lip-Bu’s China activities are not secret. He’s a legend in the semiconductor industry. He has been around forever,” said Stacy Rasgon, a senior analyst with Bernstein Research.
