Several of Oregon’s most popular family farms took to social media this week, fearing proposed rule changes they said could put them out of business.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Governor Tina Kotek said Thursday that she’s directed state officials to hit pause on proposed new rules concerning Oregon farm stands after outcry from some of the state’s most popular family farms.
In a statement, Kotek’s office said that the Department of Land Conservation and Development was told to halt farm stand rulemaking and “reassess next steps.”
