VANCOUVER, Wash. — Several union workers in Vancouver protested outside the headquarters of construction company they say overlooks worker safety.

Vancouver-based Rotschy, a major contractor with local governments, has been under scrutiny after two of its employees suffered serious injuries while on the job. 

In 2023, a 16-year-old worker from Battle Ground lost both legs after working with dangerous machinery supervision, resulting in an investigation by Washington state’s Department of Labor & Industries.
