Missing teen hiker found near White Pass

A teenage hiker who went missing in the White Pass Ski Area was found safe Monday morning.

Fifteen-year-old Robby Kershaw was separated from his hiking group around 2 p.m. Sunday, according to ski resort officials. He was last seen along the Pacific Crest Trail near the top of the Basin Quad near the Paradise Basin expansion area of the ski resort.

Search crews were asking for help in finding the teen and urging volunteers to meet at the Kracker Barrel Store, starting at 6 a.m Monday. Search groups were deployed to different site locations every 30 minutes.
