CC Slaughters, a key LGBTQ+ spot in Portland for over 44 years, will close permanently on Aug. 3 after two final months of celebrations.
PORTLAND, Ore. — CC Slaughters Nightclub and Lounge, a cornerstone of Portland’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene for more than four decades, announced plans to permanently close its doors Aug. 3.
The establishment has served as “a safe-space for queer nightlife for over 44 years in Portland, Oregon,” according to a statement from the nightclub.
Bruce, who has owned the venue for 22 years, expressed gratitude to the community that has sustained the club through the decades.
