Oregon winery breathes new life into used corks

Appassionata Estate partnered with Cork Collective to inspire cork collection in Oregon wine country.

NEWBERG, Ore. — A local winery is leading the pack when it comes to recycling cork in Oregon.

Appassionata Estate has teamed up with an East Coast recycling company to help breathe new life into the billions of corks Americans use every year.

Their new partner, Cork Collective in New York, works with wineries, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality businesses to collect used corks and repurpose them.

This is the first time Cork Collective has paired with an Oregon winery, but the company hopes to create more partnerships
