The bratwurst could contain pieces of hard plastic.
WASHINGTON — Johnsonville is recalling more than 22,000 pounds of cheddar bratwurst products that may be contaminated with hard plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced.
The affected products are 19-ounce sealed tray packages containing five pieces of “Johnsonville BRATS CHEDDAR Bratwurst” with the package code B9FOD and establishment number “Est. 1647” on the front label. The bratwurst was produced on February 5, 2025.
The recalled products were distributed to retail locations in 10 states: Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.
