Washington Is Home to Some of America's Most Expensive Zip Codes

Real estate trends come and go, and apparently so do iBuying divisions of Zillow, but expensive housing remains eternal. In a recently released roundup of the 100 most expensive zip codes in the country, Washington naturally made an appearance.

We’re one of seven states that contributed multiple entries to the list, which technically includes 127 zip codes because ties equate to one spot. Medina (98039) landed in the No. 10 slot with a median 2021 sale price of $4 million, down a smidgen from its No.9 ranking in 2020. Mercer Island’s (98040) median sale price of $1.79 million looks paltry by comparison but was good enough to earn it the No. 82 spot
