Seattle mayor, councilmember set to announce funding for permanent supportive housing

A big announcement is expected Monday from Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan that aims to help people experiencing homelessness get and keep housing.

New hotel space fuel 132% increase in Seattle homeless shelter referrals

The mayor and Seattle City Councilmember Andrew Lewis are teaming up Monday to announce $50 million in new state and local investments for more permanent housing for those experiencing homelessness.

“As a city our goal is simple, and that’s to end a persons’ experience with homelessness,” Durkan said.
