Naval Station Everett welcomes USS John S. McCain

The USS John S. McCain is now docked at its new homeport, Naval Station Everett.

The guided missile destroyer had been stationed in Tokyo Bay for 24 years.

The warship was originally named after John McCain, Senior and Junior, who were both Navy admirals.

They are also grandfather and father of Vietnam War Navy captain and later U.S.
