Susan G. Komen of Oregon and SW Washington closing its doors after nearly three decades

More than 60 Komen affiliates across the country will close down and will be consolidated at the Dallas, Texas headquarters.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Susan G. Komen of Oregon and Southwest Washington has been a big part of the Portland metro community for nearly three decades. Now the nonprofit is closing at the end of next month. 

That closure is going to impact thousands of women, men and families who have relied on the foundation for support. More than 60 affiliates across the country are closing, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
